Ductless mini splits make comfort convenient even for areas of your home that would otherwise be difficult to condition. Keep the area around the outdoor compressor/condenser clear. We understand that some people like to disguise their condenser units with decorative bushes or shrubs. Just make sure the plants aren’t too close to the unit. Keep twigs, leaves and trash out of the grille, and when you mow the lawn, do your best to direct grass clippings away.- When ductless systems aren’t in use for long periods of time, try to keep the compressor/condenser covered. However, if at all possible, keep the sides of the unit uncovered. This will prevent moisture from becoming trapped in the unit, where it can cause rust on metal parts.
